Assistant Planner

Overview

Excellent opportunity for a qualified candidate to serve as an Assistant to Planners in the development of land use plans for County and regional projects. Hunterdon County is in the process of conducting the Highlands Council Regional Plan Conformance for the entire County.  This allows Hunterdon County to update each element of the Master Plan. The Assistant Planner will assist with planning projects involving transportation systems, industrial & residential areas, historic preservation, water supplies, wastewater, and stormwater management as part of the Plan Conformance process. 

The Assistant Planner will conduct preliminary analysis for development reviews and prepare reports on planning matters.  May conduct surveys, research, and analysis of pertinent planning data.  Will assist in designing and drafting planning documents that will include graphic presentations.
