About Rutgers University School of Social Work - Institute for Families

The Rutgers University School of Social Work’s mission is to develop and disseminate knowledge through social work research, education, and training that promotes social and economic justice and strengthens individual, family, and community well-being in this diverse and increasingly global environment. The Institute for Families at the Rutgers School of Social Work advances evidence-based knowledge and practice for professionals and organizations dedicated to improving the lives of children and families. The Institute leads a portfolio of $26M in program services that are increasing the capacity of child welfare and human service systems, largely through training, technical assistance, applied research and evaluation.
