This position is a hybrid role. You will report to the New Brunswick office as needed to obtain additional supplies, including promotional materials, handouts, etc., or as needed for meetings. This provision may change at company discretion based on company policies and directives and in accordance with established governmental guidelines and practices.
To be considered for this role, you must be a resident of New Jersey.
Responsibilities:
- Represent TRC and New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program at in-person and virtual events across the State of New Jersey.
- Maintain inventories of marketing brochures and promotional giveaways.
- Research, coordinate, and attend trade show booths, workshops, webinars, green fairs, and other customer-facing events both virtually and in person to provide brand awareness and refer customer leads.
- Take photos during events and provide to Client Marketing team
- Interact with a culturally and ethnically diverse group of individuals before and during events
- Engage event attendees in conversation to increase brand exposure
- Track and measure results of events, to include costs and outreach effectiveness and evaluate for future attendance.
- Research and purchase promotional materials including, but not limited to, displays/signage, promotional printing, promotional giveaways, and event tickets.
- Maintain up-to-date program information for all stakeholders in digital and hard copy format.
- Maintain program planning files.
Other brand awareness activities, including Call Center operations may be assigned as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Residency in the State of New Jersey.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Reliable means of personal transportation to attend events and transport booth setup materials throughout the State of New Jersey (travel expenses reimbursed).
- Ability to work with culturally diverse customers and contractors effectively and respectfully.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Initiative and the ability to work independently.
- Sound analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude, detail-oriented, able to work against deadlines, results-driven, and able to juggle multiple projects.
- Ability to set, manage, and communicate an independent schedule.
- Enjoys engaging customers while maintaining a professional and polished demeanor and comportment.
- Ability to attend events throughout the State of New Jersey on relatively short notice.
- Ability to attend evening and weekend events.
Competitive Applicants Will Demonstrate Skills in the Areas Of:
- Promotional brand awareness and support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
- 1 – 5 years of experience working in marketing, advertising, communications.
- Familiarity with attending and hosting virtual meetings across webinar service platforms such as Teams, Zoom, GoTo Webinar, etc.
- Leadership, creativity and passion for promoting clean energy and sustainability.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Willingness to wear assigned mascot costume, or escort Mascot
