This is an entry-level analytical position that involves analysis of energy usage, energy efficiency or demand response interventions, cost-effectiveness, utility customer experience, energy efficiency measure characterization, or other related energy analyses.


Perform a wide range of complex, energy-related analyses including statistical analyses, analysis of fuel and utility bills, estimation of energy efficiency savings and costs, measure engineering analysis, program benefit-cost analysis, program development and planning, evaluation analysis, market research, survey design, and secondary research;

Perform assigned tasks and analyses to the project manager and manager’s satisfaction;

Prepare written reports and presentation materials and assist in the development of project deliverables;

Communicate analytical methods and results to internal teams and external clients;

Justify and document technical decisions related to research, planning, and data analysis;

Understand and execute analysis plans for tasks and/or projects;

Begin to develop expertise in a chosen practice area by staying at the forefront of the industry in terms of methods, and or innovations.


BA/BS in a related field, Economics, Public Policy, and Business or BS in a recognized engineering discipline from an accredited undergraduate or graduate engineering program or equivalent experience

1-3 years of industry experience

Additional Qualifications:

MA/MS in a related field preferred

U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status required

May be required to pass security and drug clearance

Demonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making expertise

Experience with one or more programming languages, R, Stata, SQL, SAS, Python and/or experience with analysis of common energy efficiency measures including lighting, HVAC and other equipment and systems

Excellence in both verbal and written communication

Ability to develop analysis plans for discrete tasks and/or projects

Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information

Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism and a cooperative attitude

Strong organizational skills with proven ability to follow through on multiple tasks and priorities
