Overview
The City of Jersey City, Division of Transportation Planning is seeking a Transportation Planning Intern to join a team of technical planning, design, and GIS professionals responsible for comprehensively planning the rational development of a rapidly growing, highly-urbanized environment. The Division manages projects related to innovative transportation services, Vision Zero programs, and transportation planning studies. This is a paid position.
Duties include but are not limited to:
– Assist Staff with on-going projects and studies that may require data collection, synthesis, and analysis
– Conducting work in the field
– Conducting precedent research on a variety of transportation and planning topics
– Developing reports of best practices
– Reviewing project and study materials
– Assist Staff with the production of reports, flyers, graphics, maps, etc.
– Join Staff at project and community meetings
– Assist Staff with clerical tasks
