Working with community residents and local and regional service providers, CCC develops and delivers programs to advance health equity and improve positive health outcomes. Our cross-sector partner network represents health and managed care disciplines, mental and behavioral health, social and senior services, the arts, academia, government, and financial services.

Community Development Outreach Coordinator Internship:

Job Overview:

In this role, you will work closely with the Executive Director to acquire and retain community development partners who align with CCC’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in the research of potential partnership opportunities, which include but are not limited to the following sectors: healthcare organizations, nonprofit/social service organizations, academia, faith-based, fraternal organizations, social organizations that

promote initiatives around wellness, corporate partners, local businesses, municipalities, fitness organizations, and school districts

· Conduct outreach by following up on existing leads from individuals and community organizations.

· Assist in the development and drafting of internal and external communications consisting of documents/ materials to build and cultivate existing relationships with donors, volunteers, community members, and other supporters of the CCC program

· Assist in updating and maintaining program databases,, which include, but are not limited to, information on program participants, sponsors/partners’ contact information, and volunteers.

· Assist the Executive Director in researching in-kind and financial support opportunities.

· Travel and meet with potential partner organizations at community events in Essex or Middlesex Counties

· Work with the Executive Director to develop, implement, and document a strategy to build upon and sustain community engagement capacity and practices.

· Assist in other aspects of CCC’s operations as needed.

Job Requirements/Internship Criteria:

· Candidates must be able to work part-time (15-20 hours per week) for at least ten weeks between May 2024 and Aug 2024, between Monday – Friday, and have the flexibility to work occasionally on weekends to attend CCC programs.

· Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students who can demonstrate that they seek to gain hands-on experience in grassroots community development and public and private sector engagement.

· Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

· Preferred but not required design work using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills,

· Ability to think critically.

· Creative problem solver

· Strong attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities.

· Ability to conduct oneself in a courteous, helpful, engaging, and professional manner with CCC partners and vendors.

· Intern must provide their laptop.
