The Greater Cleveland RTA is searching for a Staff Auditor to join our Internal Audit Department in Cleveland, Ohio. Candidates will be considered for either the Staff Auditor I or Staff Auditor II classification based on experience.

Job Duties for Staff Auditor I: Under the direction of the Lead Auditor or Information Technology Auditor, performs audits of assigned entities. Performs risk assessments, executes audit control testing programs, documents work methodologies and results, summarizes findings, and supports audit reporting to management. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Duties for Staff Auditor II: In addition to the above: assists Lead Auditor or Information Technology Auditor with audit planning, contributes to test program design including developing novel audit methodologies, drafts audit reports, and completes complex audit assignments with limited required supervision.

Minimum Qualifications for Staff Auditor I

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Degrees in Accounting, Business, Information Technology, Public Administration, or Transportation are preferred.
  • Familiarity or knowledge of auditing, information systems, data analysis, and public transportation.
  • Applicants must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Applicants must have experience working with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Minimum Qualifications for Staff Auditor II

In addition to the requirements for Staff Auditor I, to be considered for Staff Auditor II, candidates must have:

  • Minimum three years of experience in internal audit, risk management, or compliance
  • Demonstrated understanding of internal auditing standards, best evidenced by a certification in audit or related fields such as CIA, CFE, CISA, or CPA
  • Proficiency in audit and accounting software and tools

Salary Range: $66,732 – $91,423
