Internship – Regional Planning and Local Assistance

Overview

Regional Planning and Local Assistance Intern Description: 

• Create a library of planning lectures by recognized leaders in the planning field that the MCOP could tap into and produce for Middlesex County municipalities. The vision would be to position Middlesex County as the “go to” location for hands-on knowledge on topics ranging from complete streets, greenways, open space acquisition, to resiliency and strategic investment area planning.
• Organize one such event above.
• Provide insight into the County Plan Endorsement Process through research and discussion.
• Review all MCOP planning documents relevant to County Plan Endorsement Process.
• Set up meeting with the Executive Director of Office of Planning Advocacy to discuss MCOP strategy.
• Draft County Consistency Document as per direction from Office of Planning Advocacy.
• Assist in the review of Forward Together. and Invest Smart. Documents.
• Assist in the review of D2040 documents identified for review by Marketing, Communications, and Government Affairs.
