Overview

Responsibilities

•   Conduct data and mapping analysis, policy research, and information gathering in support of Community Strategies’ current projects.

•   Support Community Strategies team members in the design, facilitation, and evaluation of neighborhood planning, community engagement, and strategy development activities.

•   Write and edit content for neighborhood plans, technical reports, funding proposals, and grants.

•   Devise methods for the visual presentation of data and information so that it helps others understand key insights and make better decisions

•   Research and identify partnerships and resources necessary to implement departmental and clients’ revitalization goals.

•   Coordinate site visits and general correspondence between and among staff, stakeholders, and clients.

Qualifications

•   Ability to coordinate communication between multiple partners, stakeholders, and community members, with excellent implementation and follow-up skills.

•   Demonstrated interest in neighborhood-level interventions including program implementation and community engagement.

•   Proficient in Microsoft Office (intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel preferred) and ArcGIS.

•   Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, including strong English-language writing abilities and the ability to contribute to and benefit from an editing process; Spanish-language proficiency is a plus.

•   Outstanding organizational and planning skills, including the ability to meet deadlines, balance multiple projects, and prioritize work assignments according to their importance and timelines.
