🚨🚌 Internship Alert! 🚌🚨

NYC DOT Transit Development is seeking summer interns/college aides to make buses work better for New Yorkers through bus lanes and busways (often paired with pedestrian improvements, bike lanes and other transformative tools)!

Interested candidates currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program can submit a cover letter and resume to TransitDevelopment@dot.nyc.gov BY THIS SUNDAY, MAY 10TH, 11:59PM EST.

Internships will begin in May or June 2026, subject to agency approval. Compensation is typically around $20/hr and full time in summer (up to 35 hours a week in our Lower Manhattan office). Possible extension into a year-round internship for those who will remain in school.

Much of our team (including myself, an Assistant Director) started as DOT interns, and we’re excited to help pay the opportunity forward! Please distribute widely.
