Position Overview:
The National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC) seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to support the Policy & Public Affairs team in finalizing a national dashboard tracking FCC-friendly environments. The intern will assist with visual presentation of data, dashboard maintenance, and preparation of materials to support training and policy outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with creating data visualizations and charts for reporting
- Maintain real-time updates in an internal policy dashboard
- Format and prepare policy briefs for publication and presentation
- Support logistics and prep for stakeholder trainings
- Assist with organization of source materials, citations, and internal records
- And other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Undergraduate or graduate student in Public Policy, Political Science, Data Science, Communications, or related fields
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Familiarity with G-Suite, Monday.com, Canva, Excel, or basic data tools preferred
- Interest in grassroots leadership, early education, or social policy a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Spanish/English bilingual a plus
