Job Summary

This position is in the Department of For-Hire Vehicles (DFHV), Office of Performance Management.  This position will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of projects related to the effective operations and administration of the mission of the agency.

Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent of this position serves as Program Analyst and will provide critical analyses and evaluations of actual or potential effectiveness of current and /or projected program activities.  Provides advisory services to management officials; conducts and prepares research and analysis on areas such as best practices of for-hire regulation, transportation programs, service delivery and agency operations.

Conducts continuous review and analysis of current or proposed programs. Collects and analyzes data to develop program recommendations for agency leadership.  Creates charts, graphs, PowerPoints, and data visualizations as assigned. Conducts and documents meetings as assigned with sister agencies, community organizations, vendors, and customers. Reviews program stakeholders for compliance with program policies and prepare reports on findings.  Recommends corrective actions relative to program design, policies, procedures, and operations. Develop methods to track metrics, issues, and outcomes effectively. Provides research and outreach; creates and conducts surveys to support program goals. Ability to work on multiple projects at one time; Strong project management, writing skills, Microsoft Excel, SQL, and ArcGIS preferred.

Make recommendations to supervisor when necessary to get programs in compliance and  continued improvement.

Qualifications and Education

The applicant must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 11 level.  Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the individual with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
