Overview

Rutala Associates offers planning, economic development, energy and management services to governments, organizations, and corporations.  The firm specializes in providing coastal planning services.

Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of master plans, neighborhood plans, resiliency plans, capital improvement plans, land use ordinances, GIS mapping, grant applications, and other planning efforts.  The is a virtual opportunity.

Must be a graduate student or recently graduated with studies in public policy, planning, sustainability, energy, or related fields.
Ability to research data, mapping skills, and good writing skills.
Willingness to engage in productive and challenging work.
Interest in learning about cities and public private partnerships.
Be open and receptive to feedback and learning opportunities.
Conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times, including working in a cooperative manner within a team-oriented environment.
Ability to work effectively across diverse communities.
Ability to perform community outreach in-person and over the phone.
Necessary skills and qualifications include excellent research and writing skills, GIS experience.  Compensation is $25/hour, up to 20 hours per week.
