Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Application Preparer to join our growing team and help us streamline incentive applications for our clients.

The Application Preparer will play a key role in assisting the engineering team with the preparation of applications for energy efficiency incentives across various utility companies in New Jersey. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, and program managers. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, basic math knowledge, and the ability to interpret technical and architectural documents. A focus on energy efficiency regulations, local laws, and incentive programs will also be a major part of this role. Knowledge of the New Jersey New Construction program is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the engineering team by preparing applications for energy efficiency incentives across various utility companies, primarily in New Jersey.
• Residence in New Jersey is strongly preferred.
•  Applicants must have a clean, valid driver’s license and own automobile.
•  Work closely with engineers, technicians, and program managers in the clean energy sector to ensure the accuracy and completion of incentive applications.
• Aid in the streamlining and optimization of application processes on multiple online platforms for energy incentive programs.
• Gain and apply a strong understanding of New Jersey’s local energy laws and codes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Analyze and review DOB-approved building drawings to accurately identify project categories.
• Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to extract data necessary for building load calculations.
• Review and interpret load calculations for buildings to ensure compliance with industry standards such as ASHRAE and ACCA.
• Will be responsible for interfacing with program administration, contractors, and clients.
• Will be responsible for preparing project reports.
• Develop a thorough understanding of various energy incentive programs, including but not limited to PSEG NJ, NJCEP, and others.
