About the fellowship:
The Horizon Fellowship places fully-funded fellows at host organizations to help tackle policy challenges related to artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and other emerging technologies. Fellows selected for our program receive policy-focused training, mentorship, and support in matching with a host organization. Program overview:

Horizon fellows get 1-2 years of funding to work in full-time US policy roles at executive branch offices, Congressional offices, and think tanks in Washington, DC

Fellows are paid a salary of $78,000 – $190,000+ per year, depending on experience

The program includes ten weeks of remote, part time policy-focused training, mentorship, and access to an extended network of emerging tech policy professionals
Who is it for?

Entry-level, mid-career, and senior candidates

No prior policy experience is required

Demonstrated interest in emerging technology

All fellows must be eligible to work in the United States and willing to live in the Washington, DC area for the duration of their placement

Able to start a full-time role by August 2027

Training is remote, so current undergraduate and graduate school students graduating by summer 2027 are eligible
