Overview
The Heldrich Center for Workforce Development at the Rutgers University Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy is seeking a Research Project Manager. Reporting to the Assistant Director, this position is responsible for conducting and guiding quantitative analyses of data supporting research related to education, workforce, and social policy, including studies conducted with the New Jersey Statewide Data System. Key duties include: developing research designs for studies that involve quantitative data analysis, including evaluating the effect of specific education and workforce programs on participants’ employment and earnings and future educational attainment; identifying and calculating appropriate performance measures for tracking the effectiveness of education and workforce programs; identifying and implementing the most appropriate statistical models for conducting quantitative studies of data; training junior staff on appropriate statistical models for conducting quantitative analyses; developing robust and replicable procedures for handling missing data elements; and using machine learning (data mining) methods to build systems for predicting key workforce outcomes.

The John J. Heldrich Center for Workforce Development is based at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.
