The platform utilizes a combination of place-based sourcing, alongside its financial, technological, and operational expertise to unlock value for its portfolio companies. The firm is led by Damien Dwin, who founded the firm in 2020. Lafayette Square believes combining capital with services creates long-term, sustainable impact in underserved communities. 

Lafayette Square’s affiliated nonprofit, the Lafayette Square Institute, is a public policy platform that equips policymakers and investors to design capital markets that advance the interests of American workers and communities. Our policy analysis is grounded in data-driven insights from active investors and business owners. Our mission is to bridge the gap between policymakers and investors to create economic mobility for workers and families. We pursue a vision of an American economy in which private investors and company owners actively support American workers and families in building wealth and accessing opportunity.
